Brief Note on the Author

There is a General belief that a Scientist will not blend with Religious piety or astrology. The author of this work on Ardhanareeswara Trisadi may be one of a glaring example against such a notion?

Dr, Mahalingam Srinivasan , belongs to Lalgudi in Trichi District of Tamil Nadu. But was born and brought up at Chennai. He had his schooling at The P.S. Secondary School and P.S. High School, Mylapore. After passing Intermediate from The Vivekananda College Mylapore, he got his B.Sc.,M. Sc., and Ph.D. from the Presidency College, Triplicane, under The University of Madras. He spent the next few years at US doing in Post Doctoral Studies in Chemistry. He was a Gold medalist in B.Sc., and was awarded the best thesis of the year medallion for the Ph.D. Dissertation In 1965-66 by the Madras University.

He returned to India and joined the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and rose to become a Professor of Chemistry, He took Voluntary Retirement in late 1992 to work as the Head of R & D at the invitation of M/s SRF Ltd. He retired in Oct 1997.

He was with IIT- Madras for 21 yrs from 1971 and had guided 22 PhDs and 10 MSc., dissertations with over 150 publications in International Journals of repute. He has also presented over 100 papers in National and International Conferences. He has to his credit three monographs in his area of Polymer Science. He was the first to conceptualize two of these three areas.

He has held several sponsored projects from Department of Atomic Energy, Science & Technology, Defense, CSIR and Indian Space Research as well several Industries. All his Ph. D., Students worked on these various projects.

During the 5 yrs at SRF, he was responsible for many innovations in Processes and also guided some 30 M.Tech. Dissertations for many institutions around India Under Industry-Academic co-operation in R&D.

The American Biographic Institute Inc., has listed him in the 1991-2000 Volume of “International Who is Who of Contemporary Achievement”. He was also given The Man of the year Recognition -1998 “for outstanding accomplishments on date in the area of Specialization..

He was a self trained Predictive Astrologer from the age of 12 and took to Sri Vidya at the Command of THE MOTHER in 1972. He is deeply interested in the Advaithic teachings of Jagad Guru Adi Sankara and Late Sri Paramacharya. He has extensively studied the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

Though hailing from Lalgudi in Trichi District, he became a staunch Devotee of The Koduvayur Peechyodu Samadhi Bagavathi Temple. He was privileged to get guidance from Devi and the residing Siddha of the above Temple to help those who approach him.
